Arriving by car
Once you have turned off Porter Lane the Free Visitor Car Park is the first entrance on the right. This facility is only open during daylight hours.
Arriving by bicycle
Accessing the Centre by bicycle is possible from four directions - Porter Lane to the north, via Old Lane and the National Stone Centre to the south and from the High Peak Trail to the east and west.
Public Transport
The Derbyshire Eco Centre is on the Trent Barton Little Six bus route which goes between Wirksworth and Matlock. There is a bus stop on Porter Lane very close to the turn off to the Centre.
Accessibility
The Derbyshire Eco Centre spaces are all accessible. There is step free access into the foyer and classroom. There is a ramp from the foyer down into the workshop.
Refreshments
At the Eco Centre you can buy tea and coffee affordably from our self service kitchenette area. You can fill your water bottle from our drinking water tap. The National Stone Centre Café which is just 5 minutes walk (down a fairly steep hill and under the railway arch) from the Derbyshire Eco Centre.
Opening Hours
Despite what the picture says the Derbyshire Eco Centre office is not yet open!
It will initially be open when courses are running. We hope to staff the office with regular hours later in the spring.
