Textile art offers endless opportunities for creative expression. On this course, you'll have the opportunity to try various techniques and materials to produce a beautiful piece of art. No previous art experience is necessary.

Over six weeks you will be aiming to create a single piece of work to show at the end of the course. Your tutor will help you think of ideas with an introductory session and examples. 

Each week, different textile based techniques (embroidery, sewing, appliqué, felting etc.) will be demonstrated by your tutor, teaching specifics if required, and responding to individual's needs.

We will examine different options to create textile art sustainably by recycling or upcycling a range of materials.

The course aims to meet you where you are whether a beginner or a seasoned textile explorer.
