Eco Centre Pottery Group – Collaborative Studio Time

Looking for a supportive space to continue your pottery journey? The Eco Centre Pottery Group offers a friendly, self-directed studio environment where members share skills, ideas, and responsibility for running the pottery space together.

This is an open, self-determined group with no formal tutor. Instead, members learn from each other, developing their own creative work while sharing knowledge and experience within the group. Everyone contributes equally to keeping the group and studio running smoothly.

The group is best suited to people who have completed a basic pottery course, such as the Eco Centre tutor led courses, and already have some understanding of the pottery process. Members should feel comfortable developing their own work and be willing to exchange ideas and techniques with others.

As a collaborative studio, all members help with the practical tasks involved in running a pottery space, including:

•            Packing and unloading the kiln

•            Mixing glazes

•            Preparing clay

•            General studio organisation

Training and support will be provided where needed, giving you the opportunity to take part in the full pottery process.

When: Thursdays, 9:30am – 12:30pm
Where: Derbyshire Eco Centre
Cost: Equivalent to £10 per week, payable monthly by standing order.

Join a welcoming group of makers, develop your own work, and enjoy the shared experience of pottery in a relaxed and cooperative studio environment.

The group is full at the present time but you can register your interest now and we will get back to you when a place is available.
