Suitable for beginners and those with a little experience. We will cover the basics of hand building and surface decoration in clay through a series of playful exercises and projects.
You will learn a variety of different surface techniques including impressed, raised and carved surfaces to create individually designed pieces of work.
Colour work and pattern will be explored throughout the course introducing you to slip work, sgraffito and a variety of masking techniques. You will also learn about basic glazing and the different kiln firing processes.
You will need to wear suitable clothing or bring an apron
